ViewPoint has a long and proven track record of successfully converting and migrating information in legacy systems to the ViewPoint modules. This includes the conversion of data from significant alternate entity management applications in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.

We understand that the data held is sensitive and often highly confidential. For this reason our experienced personnel can provide conversion services either at the client’s offices or in a ViewPoint office. We can also provide data scrambling tools to ensure confidentiality.

Viewpoint uses a structured iterative approach to the conversion process. This simply means going over development and testing repeatedly until a satisfactory outcome is achieved. The above diagram details this approach and a brief breakdown of each step is outlined below:

	Preparation:
Identify desired scope of conversion, project timeframes, resource availability

	Analysis:
Review legacy system data. Identify ViewPoint target for in scope legacy data, discuss with users to confirm understanding of data meaning and use.

	Development:
Commence initial development of the conversion and migration tool

	Testing:
ViewPoint testing and remedial development as required

	User testing:
First review by the users of conversion results, summary of findings and remedial development required.

	Iterative Development:
Continued development based on the findings of the user testing. This is an iterative process consisting of development by ViewPoint followed by user testing until the users are happy with the conversion results.

	Acceptance:
Users formally accept that the conversion meets their expectations.

	Go-Live:
The live legacy system is converted to ViewPoint, users start using ViewPoint. Legacy system decommissioned.
